Yesterday we finished watching Hotel Rwanda in RE. This was the second movie we watched on the Rwandan genocide and I have to say this one was a lot easier to understand.Even though it still covers such a horrific story, it wasn't as gruesome and dark as Sometimes in April but it was still equally powerful. I think it's unimaginable how people can help with any genocide but their was hope at the end when all of the main character Paul's family survived.
Out of Sometimes in April and Hotel Rwanda, I would recommend Hotel Rwanda as it still gets the message across but it's not as dark or violent as SiA.

So today in RE we started our role-play. After watching the movie, we were split into groups of 4 - and interviewer , interviewee, editor and note-taker. I am Augustin the interviewee and i have to tell the story of how I got to where I am today , what happened my family and what do i want for the future. Even though he is a Hutu, he married a Tutsi and wants everyone to be treated equally- as Rwandans.

Today the two TY classes came together in the demo room for three classes.
We were watching Sometimes in April as part of our RE course. It is about the Rwandan genocide and it is so shocking. It is a very complex film but very powerful.
I didn't watch some parts as I didn't want to see people being butchered :/
