In Home Ec at the moment me and Kellie are doing a project on Spain. Last Tuesday we made Spanish Omelette and a salsa type sauce. It was really nice and you can see a picture below.
We also have to do a PowerPoint on our country to link in with our art. So, at the moment we are researching the geography, history and culture of Spain.
Click here to find out about Spanish festivals.

For our home ec project we have to choose a country with our partner and cook 3 dishes from it - 2 savoury and 1sweet. Kellie and I have decided to do Spain. :) We also have to do a powerpoint on the country's geography , history etc.
We are planning on doing two tapas dishes- fried garlic, peppers and chorizos and fried potatoes with a spicy sauce. For our second dish we are doing Spanish omelette.

On Friday alter weeks and weeks of preparation we had our TY fashion show. At the beginning of TY each group were given plain shorts, a plain t-shirt and €15. We were given the colour red. Originally in my group we came up with an off the shoulder dress with a bubble-hem skirt inspired by Cheryl Cole. Our inspiration was love. Unfortunately, our outfit got off to a bad start when the red dye turned our clothes purple so we had to completely change our design when things kept going wrong. So we were relieved when Friday finally came along. Our model Niamh P wore a red tutu like skirt and the black top embellished with red beads around the neck. There were red polka dots on the skirt and our inspiration was still love, but changed to Katy Perry. We played the song firework, because like our outfit it was different, but not afraid to be which is what the song is all about. At the end when we found out we had won a tin of Roses for our presentation we were delighted! It was good fun J

On Friday morning ladies from Colour Me Beautiful : www.cmbireland.com came in to talk to TY’s. It was really good as they thought us what shades of colours suited our skin tones, and what style personality we were. I found it really helpful and now i know which colours I should wear and which I should avoid. :)
