Louise TY (:
I described our history project back here. I have been slowly working along at it and I'm finding it really interesting. :)
Here is an extract of my essay so far:

“I am certainly not happy”. This was Eva Anna Paula Braun who was born on the 6th of February 1912. She married Adolf Hitler just 40 hours before they both took their own lives. Eva Braun lived in the upmost luxury while millions died at the hands of her “Wulf”. She is still to this day one of the most guarded secrets of the Nazis. Every time guest arrived, Eva Braun was sent off to her room without fail. Although she was a key figure in Hitler’s immediate social circle, they never attended public events together. The German public had never heard of Eva Braun until after her death. She was never allowed sit in business meetings so historians wonder did Braun actually realise the extent of Hitler’s plan. It is uncertain whether Braun was a member of the Nazi party.

The most plausible reason of them not marrying sooner was that Hitler feared he would lose popularity amongst his female supports. Albert Speer who was the Minister of armaments and war production during Hitler’s reign said of Eva “I soon began to feel a liking for this unhappy woman, who was so deeply attached to Hitler”. According to Hitler’s chauffeur, Braun was “the unhappiest woman in Germany. She spent most of her time waiting for Hitler.” Although she was such a deeply unhappy woman, she was happy to be the companion of the “great man”. Even Hitler’s closed associates were unsure of their relationship status as he was never entirely relaxed in her company.
