... If anyone is thinking of doing TY I would definitely recommend doing itJ
When I was in third year I never thought of doing TY until the last minute and I’m so glad I made that decision. Even though some of your friends may leave you behind you make plenty more and sure you can still see them at lunch and outside of school. As well as going on trips here and there , you also get to try loads of subjects and as well as learning about various things from business to music you also learn loads of stuff about yourself. TY is all about team-work and I think it really helps you to grow as a person as you’re not learning out of a book.
If you think TY is a doss think again, you actually do so much work and it requires a lot of effort as you are expected to be a lot more organised and self-motivated. You get projects in most subjects (not maths (: ) and they take up a lot of your time, especially mini-company.
Here are some of the things we have gotten up to so far:
Carlingford trip
Social Development Day.
Young Scientist.
Colour Me Beautiful workshop.
Work experience.
Podcasting workshop.
